Olympias Gold-Silver-Lead-Zinc Mine

Gold concentrate of approximately 61,000oz was sold during the first phase. Ore mining under the second phase is expected to begin from 2017 and last for four years to reach a production level of 400,000 tonne a year. The ore will be hauled to the surface through the Olympias decline and will be processed in a flotation circuit.

Methods of arsenic wastes recycling: Focus on flotation

Further selective separation of pyrite from arsenopyrite in an auriferous bulk flotation concentrate, stockpiled in the mine area, could be possible under carefully controlled (flotation) conditions, which would be also beneficial to the gold recovering process. ... Fine Grain Lead-Zinc Sulfides Flotation

Test results showed that by regrinding the first lead cleaner flotation concentrate through 1,600-mesh the grade of lead and the lead recovery were increased about 2 and 4 percent, respectively. Zinc in the lead concentrate was also lowered from 15 to 8 percent. Results of ultrafine grinding on selective lead recovery are shown in table 7.

Critical importance of pH and collector type on the flotation …

After lead flotation at optimum pH 8, the flotation of zinc at a different pH (5–11.5), with two collector types, was performed to study the recovery and grade of zinc in the zinc concentrate. Figure 8 shows the grade and recovery of zinc in the zinc concentrate using PAX or Aero 3477 collectors at pH 5–11.5.

1 Froth Flotation – Fundamental Principles

1 Froth Flotation – Fundamental Principles. Froth flotation is a highly versatile method for physically separating particles based on differences in the ability of air bubbles to selectively adhere to specific mineral surfaces in a mineral/water slurry. The particles with attached air bubbles are then carried to the surface and removed, while ...

Lead-Zinc ores

The bulk concentrate is subsequently conditioned with sodium hydroxide to achieve an approximate 11.5 pH and collector addition from which a lead concentrate is floated. The zinc concentrate is actually the tails from this bulk separation step. The flotation tailing is the zinc concentrate.

Lead-Bismuth Flotation

An excessive addition of activated carbon is harmful for lead and bismuth minerals flotation because all the reagents will be absorbed by the activated carbon. This problem will persist until saturate all the carbon and then, the froth can show other appearance. The dosage can be in the range 1 to 1.5 kg/t bulk.

The Management of Lead Concentrate Acquisition in "Trepca"

During the flotation, lead tends to float with concentrate more than allowed. In this investigation, effects have been made to minimize the loss of Pb to concentrates. This paper as such gave the first effects in optimizing of these parameters with positive effects in the flotation process in Trepca. Download to read the full chapter text.

1. Introduction. In the flotation of complex sulfide ores, the two methods most widely used for the separation of economic amounts of copper and lead are presents as the following: (1) bulk copper/lead flotation followed by copper/lead separation; (2) sequential copper/lead flotation [1].The sequential separation has some disadvantages, for …
